Platfform have been attending Pride Cardiff for multiple years and each year we provide a wellbeing tent. In that tent, we offer tea, coffee, some snacky bits and freebies where attendees of Pride can come for somewhere to relax and get some support if they need it on both days of the event.
Not only that, Platfform joined the Pride Parade. A group of our staff walked the parade with banners, pride t-shirts, pride flags and badges to give out. It was a great experience and the badges were a hit. The weather started out with not so great weather but in the end it turned out great on both days. We couldn’t have asked for more!
All in all, the event went really well and the staff enjoyed themselves and enjoyed being part of Pride. The atmosphere was amazing with lots of stalls that people could have a look around and multiple stages with incredible performers and entertainment.
Everyone was welcoming and we had great conversations with the people who attended the tent. We are all glad to not only support the LGBTQ+ community as a whole but also support people with their wellbeing.
