Celebrating the past year!

Celebrating the ups, the downs, your achievements and what you have learnt from the past year is equally as important as living in the moment. It allows you to look back and be proud of yourself, of your achievements and how far you have come.

Having a visual aid to celebrate the past year can show you that even in the thick of things, you are able to get through what life throws at you and highlight the good times that come along with that. Writing down the ups, the downs, your achievements, and what you’ve learnt from the past year can help you with this.

Celebrating the year that has just passed allows you to grow, to look at what we would like to change going forward and allows us to slow down before heading into another year. Here are some ways you can celebrate the past year;

Favourite memories; Writing down some of your favourite memories not only allows you to walk down memory lane but also can increase your mood, sense of identity and so much more.

Challenges; Looking back at the challenges you’ve been able to overcome can help you feel a sense of accomplishment and being proud of yourself for getting to where you are now.

The power of sharing with the people around you!

Celebrating the past year with the people around you allows you to feel empowered, create connections, encourage progress, and can give you fulfilment. It can motivate you to want to improve, to continue accomplishing and pursuing your goals.

The connection that we create through celebrating with others can create a community that can follow you into the new year. Where celebrating your achievements can continue, where a support system is in place to lift you up when you are down and where friendships can flourish.

Looking back on the past year can have many benefits, including boosting self-esteem, creating connections, being able to be proud of yourself, and so much more. Once you have looked back on your past, you can take the things you want to carry over into the future and leave the things you want to leave in the past.
