Finding Balance!

Being able to celebrate and look back at your ups, your downs, your achievements and what you’ve learnt from the past year is equally as important as living in the moment. It allows you to look back and be proud of yourself, of your achievements and how far you have come. As well as being able to still be in the moment and carry on creating memories and achieving your goals going into the future.

It’s about finding the balance between the past, the present and the future. It about knowing how to celebrate and reflect on the past without allowing it to consume you in the now. As well as not allowing your future plans and goals to consume you from living in the moment but also be able to work towards your future aspirations at the same time.

How do I find the right balance?

Celebrate the past; look at your achievements, favourite memories and even look back at the not so good moments. It allows you to reflect and reminisce on the past year.

Slow down; It allows you to be able to grow, reflect, be in the moment and work towards the future but it doesn’t mean you need to do it all at once. One week you can be focusing on celebrating the past year to thinking about the future the next.

Plan; Working out what you want to achieve, your goals, what activities you want to do and what you want to leave behind is important. It’s about setting out what you want to prioritize and planning it out so you don’t get burnt out.

Being in the moment; Making sure that you include things that you can do in the moment such as catching up with friends/family, relax and watch your favourite show or even do something from your bucket list.

In the end, finding balance is about making sure that you be in the moment, look at the past and the future without burning yourself out. It’s about managing every aspect of your life effectively to make sure that you are looking after yourself.
