What is the International Day of Charity?
International Day of Charity (5th September) was set up with the aim of getting people involved to help others around the world through volunteering and charitable activities.
Why the 5th of September?
This date was picked to honor the anniversary of the passing away of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Mother Teresa helped conquer poverty and distress which also established peace.
