It’s common to still feel stressed or anxious after exams, especially while you wait for your results. Here are a few ways to support your wellbeing during this time;
- Recovery Takes Time
Your mind and body may need time to adjust after weeks or months of revision and exams. Looking after yourself is an important part of recovering!
Try to; get enough sleep, eat regular meals, spend time doing things you enjoy and keep a gentle daily routine!
- Waiting Can Feel Uncertain
If you feel anxious; focus on what you can do today, avoid repeating checking answers or comparing yourself with others if it increases your stress and make plans with friends, family or activities you enjoy!
Small steps can help you feel more in control!
- Your Results Don’t Define You
Exam results are only one part of your journey. There are many different paths to achieving your goals!
They don’t measure; your character, your strength, your potential and your future!
- Reach Out If You Need Support
If stress or anxiety is affecting your daily life, talk to someone you trust, such as a friend, family member, teacher or another trusted adult. If you are finding things difficult to cope with, support is available through your GP or local mental health services.
Be kind to yourself. You’ve worked hard, and it’s ok to take time to recover!
